Google for Startups and Startup Lady Japan Present: Story Night

We’ve got some exciting news that we’re so glad we finally get to share!

We’re always searching for new ways in which we can serve you all, our community of dedicated and powerful individuals, each with your own story that demands to be told. Which is why we’ve partnered with Google for Startups Japan to bring you our new program: Story Night. 🎤🌃 

We’re so lucky to have a powerhouse like Google for Startups Japan and their brilliant team alongside us as we continue to expand and provide support to women and/or LGBTQ+ individuals on their business journeys here in Japan. Combining Google for Startups Japan’s experience with running accelerators, supporting a global network of leading tech hubs and diversity-focused organizations in the world's fastest-growing markets, and our dedication to empowering our family within the Startup Lady community, we hope to highlight the powerful and emotional narratives of you all: our inspiring role models. 

It will be a mini hybrid program to stay up to date with these pandemic times so you will have access to video training and will send in a video version of your story where you can get feedback before participating in in-person workshops to prepare to stand on stage together with your cohort of storytellers. 

Who is this for? 

Applicants should be women or LGBTQ entrepreneurs who have already started a business (completed MVP & first sales).

Applications open August 12th and close on September 18th at 12:00 PM JST.

What language will the program be in? 
The program will be bilingual in English and Japanese with an emphasis on Japanese. Presentations may be in English or Japanese. We are working on having translation support day-of.

When will the Story Night event be? 

The main event will take place on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022!

The Tokyo campus is Google for Startups' newest campus that has just reopened again since COVID. We can't think of a better way to welcome them back. Together, with Google for Startups Japan, we hope to create a cyclical community of founders and dreamers that builds up and gives back and we hope you take the leap to become a part of it; we would be nothing without all of you who support us and make us stronger.
